We started as a small group of Airbnb hosts in early 2017, and have steadily blossomed into a full scale operation called Huntington Beach STR (Short-Term Rental) Alliance. We encourage you to register and become a member by going to the Join Us tab on this website.
Our efforts have been focused on working with local government to permit, tax and regulate short-term rentals in Huntington Beach. We want hbstra.org to be a one-stop shop for hosts to communicate, get advice and direction on responsible hosting/managing, find out the latest rules and regulations, and serve as a bulletin board for upcoming club events and public meetings.
Our mission is to provide a forum for Huntington Beach’s short-term rental hosts to share their stories, support each other, stay up-to-date on current events, and have fun! The website also helps members come together as a group to act and speak around issues of common concern.
Support
Our city could tap into new revenue by permitting and taxing home hosted stays. The income received from this business alone has surprised many with revenue in the millions of dollars. Big Bear: $4.6 millions, Newport Beach: $6 millions, just to name a few. Join us in our efforts to make STR legal in HB.
